Hiking LA

Jessica Higgins was recently challenged during the COO Alliance Podcast with Cameron Herold to reconnect with nature for an hour each day. She has since been traveling and hiking through Southern California. More on this, below: 

The latin roots of vacation mean to be free of one's obligations. If you view your life as one of purpose, however, it can be difficult to free yourself from what you love. 

Recently, I heard that colleague, Cameron Herold, mentioned me from the stage of his talk as an example of someone who never shuts off. A bad example. 

Whatever it is that you love the most, you simply must step away from it and reset. I don't particularly enjoy nature, but my anxiety is at an all time low after a weekend of hiking. For what its worth, we each deserve to try a new thing, at least once in a while.
